Lloyd’s Register (LR) Automated Functional Testing Strategy
Lloyd’s Register (LR) is a global engineering, technical and business services organization with over 9,000 employees based in 78 countries. LR needed help with retaining knowledge and increasing training overheads, as well as grouping and mapping manual test cases across business modules, the maintenance and boosting of Automation test suites best practices for releases and more.
How we made value
Sogeti developed project artefacts and KT documents for LR, as well as a Streamlined ALM (Application Life Cycle Management) tools. Working as a team, we also improved test case coverage, designed test scripts and created a UI automation add in, which played a major role in solving the object identification issue for Vconnect window-based applications.
LR was able to track the test coverage through ALM, resulting in 50% test script reusability. Execution is now tracked in ALM by providing the Build ‘no.s’ for each release and a huge knowledge base of artefacts developed and stored in Troom. There is also a dedicated testing team to help with knowledge retention.
