In the latest World Quality Report, published by Capgemini, Sogeti, and OpenText, 1,750 organizations were surveyed to capture current developments in the quality engineering (QE) landscape. The report reveals how the rapid adoption of generative AI (Gen AI) is revolutionizing quality engineering. This plays a significant role in ensuring positive business outcomes for organizations in Luxembourg by optimizing product quality and manufacturing processes through engineering principles.
Global quality engineering and testing trends highlighted in the report include the increasing adoption of Gen AI, with 68% of respondents actively using or exploring its benefits. Additionally, the report shows an evolution in QE automation: 29% of organizations have fully integrated Gen AI into their test automation processes, and 42% are actively exploring its potential. The shift from traditional testing to agile quality management is also evident, with 40% of organizations embedding quality engineers directly into their agile processes.
“These global trends are evident in Luxembourg as well,” says François Orssaud, Practice Leader DevOps&Cloud and QE&T at Sogeti Luxembourg. “The adoption of Gen AI has transformed testing activities, reducing the effort needed for design and achieving accurate improvement in test reports. Automated testing, enriched by Gen AI, has become indispensable, empowering Luxembourg’s quality engineers to achieve greater efficiency and coverage. Furthermore, while agile integration reduces reliance on traditional Testing Centers of Excellence (TCoE), companies must strategically balance embedded engineers in agile teams and independent ones in TCoEs.”
The 2024-2025 edition of the World Quality Report underscores AI’s transformative role in quality engineering, showcasing how forward-thinking QE practices are being recognized for driving business value. The full report provides further insights into these trends and their implications for organizations worldwide.
