Senior Business System Analyst in custody or fund accounting domain(M/F)

Permanent contract, based in Luxembourg

Your Role

  • Engage IT and Business stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, manage and communicate system requirements that meet business needs
  • Works on small development / maintenance projects. Assists in medium to large projects and programs as defined by Project Management Framework (PMF)/ Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/ Agile Management Framework (AMF)
  • All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, client Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy principles.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provides consulting services to business partners
  • Identifies tracks and resolves business systems issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Recommends business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients.
  • Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
  • Conduct requirements deliverables review walkthrough and facilitate sign-off with stakeholders.
  • Lead requirements prioritization and scoping discussions with stakeholders
  • May ensure adequate end user documentation and training if identified in scope for the project.
  • Ensure deliverables quality meets expectations
  • Ensures knowledge transfer to application support teams, if applicable, including functional documentation and/or training.

 

Plan Requirements Activities

  • Independently for small projects or assisting in medium to large projects
  • Perform stakeholder analysis
  • Plan requirements following AMF/PMF/SDLC requirements process
  • Estimate effort  in completing requirements with support of PM, BSA Lead/supervisor or BSA Manager

 

Elicit Requirements

  • Perform document analysis to elicit requirements
  • Plan, conduct and follow-up on stakeholder interviews
  • Plan, conduct and follow-up on small facilitated requirements workshops.  Assist in medium to large facilitated requirements workshops

 

Analyze and Document Requirements

  • Analyze and document high-level system requirements with Use Cases Modelling techniques
  • Analyze and document detail system requirements using Use Cases, Business Rules, Data, Messages, User Interface and Non Functional requirements:
    • Independently for small development/ maintenance projects
    • Assist in medium to large development projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise on feasibility of initiatives and proposed solutions
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable system documentation

 

Communicate and Manage Requirements

  • Conduct requirements deliverables review walkthroughs and facilitate signoff with stakeholders
  • Manage requirements using traceability and following AMF/PMF/SDLC change request process

 

Solution Assessment and Validation

  • Support:
    • Development activities
    • Quality Assurance (QA) testing activities
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing activities
    • Application support activities

 

Relationship Management

  • Develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises in collaboration with application support teams, if applicable.
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders
  • Provides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capability of more junior staff.
  • Manages the detail aspects of day-to-day operations with 3rd party vendors during the project lifecycle and in collaboration with application support teams, if applicable.
  • Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering sessions
  • Resolves conflicts/issues of medium complexity and escalates others as appropriate.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to business partners and senior management, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience.

  • Reports to: Business System Analyst Manager, IT project lead under the project governance
  • Business partners: Ops, Client solutions, Project/Program manager

  • Your are a professional with experience on applications with multiple functions Achievement

  • You have an analytical thinking and you are able to deal with ambiguity

 

Your skills

  • Various software development methodologies such as Iterative, Waterfall, Agile, etc.
  • Requirements planning including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Requirements elicitation techniques – document analysis; interviews; facilitated workshops; job shadowing; reverse engineering; prototyping
  • Requirements analysis and documentation – Use Case Modelling; Use Cases; User Interface Design; Non Functional requirements
  • Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management
  • Conflicts and issues resolution and escalation
