Sogeti pioneers AI innovation at Nexus2050

Sogeti made a significant impact at the inaugural Nexus2050 symposium in Luxembourg on June 26-27, 2024. This premier annual tech event is an international hub for exploring the intersections of technology and sustainability, offering a platform for discovery, inspiration, and learning.

Focusing on artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, financial technology, and talent development, Nexus2050’s first edition brought together over 5,500 attendees, 300 speakers, and 220 exhibitors, including 150 startups. The event provided ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and matchmaking among global leaders and innovators.

A bright future for Tech Hub Luxembourg

"Luxembourg has the potential to redefine what a small nation can achieve in the global arena for technological innovation. Our nation's strategy, guided by forward-thinking decision-makers and fueled by a vibrant business community, aligns perfectly with global technology trends shaping the future," said Frédéric Robin, CEO of Sogeti Luxembourg. "Innovation is not an end in itself but a means to achieve a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future for all. Nexus2050 captured that idea perfectly, and I'm delighted Sogeti contributed to its success, reflecting our commitment to the Luxembourgish business community."

Committed to innovation

We showcased our tech expertise through keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive demos. On the first day, Joakim Wahlqvist, our Global CTO Data & AI, delivered an insightful keynote on the pivotal role of trust in scaling Generative AI (GenAI). He introduced our Trusted AI Framework, emphasizing the importance of building trust into AI processes. Joakim highlighted how this framework empowers organizations to harness GenAI’s potential confidently, accelerating progress toward a bold future.

The afternoon featured a dynamic panel discussion with experts from Google and EY. The AI Champions panel explored the challenges and opportunities in AI business adoption, sharing strategies to navigate this rapidly evolving landscape.

Engaging with stakeholders

Our commitment to innovation caught the attention of Ms. Stéphanie Obertin, the Minister of Digitalisation, who visited our booth. Marc Durante, our CSO, presented our efforts in supporting Luxembourg’s technological ecosystem, demonstrating how innovative solutions can drive national progress.

Visitors to our booth experienced hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies. The Gen AI Amplifier showcased how AI can enhance software development efficiency, while the Gen AI Hub provided real-time examples of AI-driven text, code, and image generation. These interactive demos allowed attendees to engage directly with the technologies, sparking interest and curiosity.

Inspiring keynotes and celebrations

The second day began with an inspiring keynote addressed by Eric de Quatrebarbes, CEO of the Europe Cluster at Capgemini. His keynote highlighted the transformative power of AI in sports, demonstrating how technology enhances athletic performance through data analysis, player health monitoring, and adaptive training environments. By showcasing examples like Usain Bolt and Serena Williams, Eric illustrated how advanced technology tools, such as performance sensors and biometric trackers, play a crucial role in achieving athletic excellence. He emphasized the broader implications of AI in sports and across various sectors, reinforcing our commitment to leveraging AI for innovation and growth.

Eric de Quatrebarbes: “We partner in sport not just because of our shared passion but because we know it can make a difference. Sport provides a platform for us to apply our expertise and use the power of transformative technology and innovation to achieve true impact and value. By focusing on human performance, we unleash the potential of individuals, enhancing their capabilities and driving positive change.”
