The Sogeti name has been in existence since 1967, when Serge Kampf founded what is today Capgemini. In 2002 Capgemini relaunched Sogeti as a separate, distinct, entity with a new identity.

It was this re-launching of the company using the original name that we celebrated throughout 2022, 20 years on from Sogeti’s rebirth.

We have come a long way, and today Sogeti is rightly known for its culture of making things happen, our agility and our passion for unlocking the value in technology.

In 2024 we can look back on 20+ years of making sustainable choices, 20+ years of cultivating talent and growth around the world. 20+ years of making it so.

Thank you for joining us throughout 2022 as we celebrated our 20th anniversary. Make it So.

Our origins

The name Sogeti has its origins in France and is the name of origin for the entire Capgemini Group, founded by Serge Kampf in 1967. The name was an acronym for "Société pour la gestion et le traitement de l'information" which, roughly translated, means "Business Management and Information Processing Company".

Since then the company name has changed through mergers and acquisitions using names such as Cap Gemini Sogeti, Cap Gemini and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. In 2002, the Capgemini Group reclaimed the original name and founded a subsidiary called Sogeti in six countries to focus on the growing local IT market.

Making value for our clients

Sogeti Sweden is collaborating on with state-owned Sveaskog, the country’s largest forestry owner. It’s using the Geo Satellite Intelligence (GSI) solution developed by Sogeti to help halt the destructive annual march of the spruce bark beetle.
